Hi,
The left arm of the Record Crank exists?
Posted to Greece? -
• #4
Hi @Montecristo
Yes sorry, the left arm is certainly included. I've also added a picture of this. Shipping to Greece would be £12,50 via registered Royal Mail -

That chainset's not Record: it's 1st generation Chorus.

Thanks @Scilly.Suffolk

You're welcome.
But, after a little research, are you going to adjust the asking price?
-
• #8
Well after some more research I found out that it's actually not a first, but second generation Chorus crankset. And as the prices on eBay average between $80 and $90 in this condition the price of £60 would still be pretty fair. I've lowered it however to £55 ;)

2nd gen. were inherited from CDA and had self-extractor crank bolts.
Even without bolts, the difference is clear: 1st gen. has a distinctive "volcano lip" around the crank bolt, whereas 2nd gen. is flat.
The date code will confirm this.
-
• #10
Well the date code is 93 and when checking velobase the 1st gen runs from 88-91 and the 2nd gen 92-94. I just based it on that but am not an expert

may ask (Scilly.Suffolk or somebody who knows) which bottom bracket fits with this one crank on a french bike, peugeot px1o for example?
Thanks in advance -
• #12
Hi @Montecristo I think you should just check the thread on the frame so that the bottom bracket actually fits the frame. The length of the bottom bracket also depends on your frame and the position to the rear cog(s)
If anyone has any more info on this then that would be much appreciated -
• #13
Both these and the C-Record cranks took BB's 111mm in length.
You would have to double check that your BB threading is French. Campag made French threaded but they are harder to find and expensive.
-
• #14
All C-Record era, road double cranks use 111mm bottom brackets.
From 1995, Record and Chorus use 102mm.
Obviously you'll need to check whether the BB shell is English or French threaded.

Great thanks guys!
-
• #16
Well one or the other are wrong, because that's a 1st gen. Chorus chainset.
-
• #17
PS I'll be home at the weekend and can dig out my catalogues.
-
• #18
Thank you all of you, indeed the bb seems to be more expensive from the crank and little difficult to be found. I ll think about to change the stronglight one. But keep looking for..

Centaur is a good alternative.
Veloce is second best as it requires a specific tool.

Pedals are not C Record.

whats the diameter of the handle bars man? i really dig them id buy em without the stem though
-
• #24
damn wont fit on the bike i dont think, gl on the sell man, they look great!
-
• #25
Well I'm afraid your interpretation of the date code is wrong, as Velobase is (on this occasion) correct.
Please find below extracts from the '91 and '92 catalogues.
You can further confirm which version they are, by looking at the Velobase entries for the cranks.
