My 2011 Macbook Air has been a little temperamental for the last year. I had been eyeing up the new 'Macbook' for a while and was gutted when the prices were increased following the Macbook pro launch. Found them (2016 model) on John Lewis at the previous prices with 3 years guarantee included - the website says out of stock but I've managed to reserve one to collect at Stratford Westfield later today. Thought that might be useful to know for anyone wanting to get hold of these or the previous model pros with the 3 year guarantee having been disappointed with the latest release + price increase.
Similar thing happened a couple of years ago when I opted to get the 2012 mini rather than the updated non-upgradable 2014 model and JL came to the rescue.
Side note: The problem with my Macbook Air is the power port on the unit itself... any recommendations for repair in London?
