To be fair after the first couple of corners there was a virtual safety car before the full safety car, at which point Rosberg was right behind Hamilton again so I think he had lift off so as not to gain an advantage. After the safety car he pulled away from rosberg with easy. There was also no body along side Hamilton as he went across the grass which I also think was in his favour.
