Pretty warm out today. I was fine in a short sleeve jersey and shorts, passed loads of groups in full winter gear: thermal knicks, winter jackets, full warmers etc. Can't imagine that would be comfortable.
Did just shy of 100km going Colchester to Chelmsford and back on lanes and a few gravelly bridleways. Managed to find something resembling a real hill near Danbury, 1.5km 5% ramping up to 8-9% for the second half. Felt like an Alpine col compared to what I normally ride. Dowsett has the KoM and was more than twice as quick up it than I was.
