Thanks yea I'd read that but wasn't pulling up much in the way of current options. I'm using an ITM stem, I guess the Giant stem would lower the top bolt.

If @mdcc_tester is right, then is there an option for a much lower top cover? From what I see it's that top cover that takes a lot of vertical real estate.

I'm running the SC1 with no top cover on the Tandem, it's fine to have the stem pressing on the collet with nothing in between.

Look at velosolo, they have a tange tgr threadless 1" headset with a stack height of 22mm, listed at £11.

Note you can also gain a little from the stem too.
