So this is my one and only bike, and has been for a while- I sold everything else to fund the boat restoration, and live with almost no money, so I can spend more time working on Annelis, so only the absolutely necessary work is done. Entirely is purely functional. I stripped the paint when I bought the frame, as it was hideous, and never got round to repainting it. It's only ver cosmetic surface rust, on a gas-pipe frame, so I'm not worried about it rusting through. This is my only transportation. It does countless thousands of miles every year, and is mostly neglected, but I've done a bit of work recently...
This is when it was built, from the parts bin:
It's constantly changing, morphing, but this was how it was looking at the start of the summer.
Someone left an old rear rack in the scrap metal pile under the boat, so I modified it to fit the front of my bike...
...and made a wooden platform, with recycled innertubes as straps. Useful for running to the shops and carrying lighter stuff, but have also fitted a modified rear rack and panniers for heavier loads.
This was the drivetrain at the start of summer:

So splashed out on new bits
delaminated the rear tyre and replaced it with a schwalbe marathon supreme, which I got for a tenner from the LBS.
and the all-important bell sticker, stolen from a pub hand-dryer
Snapped the frame recently at the top of the seatstays. they were open socket brazed, and were always a bit flimsy. Was carrying quite a lot of weight on the beefed-up rear rack, which probably did it. Have welded and reinforced it now, will take an up-to-date photo soon...
