Klein Quantum in great condition: "Not really sure what it's worth - I'd estimate at about £500? But I'm open to suggestions! I'd be happy to post, but would obviously prefer collection."

I reckon the Light & Motion units are a lot of light for the money at Rutland. I've got the 350 and it's plenty bright.

Fitzrovia cycles have got a nice white rossin frameset down to £249, seems like a good price but I don't know classic road frame values

Thinking ahead, am I imagining it or do Merlin or someone do silly discounts on groupsets for 'Black Friday'? In the market for a 105 drivetrain some time in the near future.

Howies have their Daylight Savings sale on.
Not sure on whether it constitutes a bargain but some of their merino is discounted.
I picked up a mid layer hoodie and some chinos for less than the hoodie cost at full price. -

The Howies bib shorts and tights are the weirdest fit I've ever tried. Bought the tights and found that the pad was in completely the wrong place for my arse. Sent them back and they told me it was a manufacturing error, they had no more and that they could send me shorts instead. Got those and they were crap too.

Strange that they'd sell a duff batch. I've worn their bib tights for winter commuting for about a year now, no pad problems. It's not outstanding, but it's pretty comfortable.

To note, the bib shorts pad was in the right place, I just found the shorts to be a very weird fit in other ways. Never had that problem with any other shorts manufacturer so I'm pretty sure I've got a fairly standard arse. The L/XL sizing thing is weird too, not sure it's quite stretchy enough for them to get away with only two sizes.
On the other hand, I found their jersey to be a good fit.

I think I come out of it fairly well as I'm generally on the large side of small and the small side of medium - the sm/md bib tights work out alright on me. I can see how that could be a pain for certain sized people.

15% off Halfords tools and workshop stuff 1300-1500 today only. The offer stacks on top of existing discounts, so this tool chest goes from £250 (extortionate, never to be paid price) down to £105.40 (that's better).

Although if you buy lights they refund the fine...so probably a fairly reasonable incentive scheme (and really what excuse could there be for not having lights?):
Road Safety Sergeant Rob Heard said: ‘The penalty for cyclists found riding without lights on their bikes at night is a £50 fine. ‘However, we run a rectification scheme in Hampshire whereby if a person goes to one of our approved cycle shops, buys a brand new set of lights, gets their penalty ticket stamped on the back and sends it back to police within 28 days then they will not be prosecuted.’ -

It does seem a good scheme and of course lights are a must. Hopefully people will go to the lbs since they need the ticket stamped.
I wonder if they could have setup a temporary stall with a couple of them? -
