When do we think, Autocad, Adobe CS and MS Office will be updated to make use of the touchbar?
And when will those versions be available pirately?Or will touchbar be completely controlled by OS with app dependant preset functions?

The price rises are literally Brexit's fault apparently. LITERALLY.

I was quite excited at first, then I saw the prices.
Looks like my 2012 non-retina mbp will be lasting me a bit longer then! -

Been using my 2008 machine for 10 months since being burgled. Still works fine but has no battery life and weighs a tonne.
The new MBPs will come soon, I kept saying.
Ah, they're here.
Today I buy laptop I could have bought 10 months ago for £290 less. Le sigh.

I just compared prices in sweden, and the previous MBP 15 with dedicated graphics is about £100 less than the baseline new version, so not as much difference. Don't think it's fair to compare the old baseline MBP with integrated graphics and the new with a dedicated card.
Comparing the pound to the swedish krona is pretty dire though, especially considering I've got most of my clients in the uk. 20% paycut :(
Not surprising the prices are rising steeply in the UK

So I guess the refurb models are gonna be what everyone's after... Looks like I'm gonna be keeping my late 2011 15" MBP going for as long as I can... That was a maxed out, top of the range machine in Feb 2012 and cost me just over £2k... Amazing...

$6,649AUD for a maxed MBP - my late 2013 15" is just fine all of a sudden.
Actually, I do a lot of digital painting and was considering a wacom cintiq + MBP upgrade - might have a serious look at the MS surface thingy....

Did people really think the previous track pad was too small? I mean, you're just going to be clicking stuff with your wrist while typing on the now tiny keyboard.

It can tell when your plans are resting on it.

The apple track pad has had palm rejection for years....

What pen would I need to use the new big track pad as a sort of-Wacom?
I definately see a potential there! -

Any soft tip capacitive stylus should work.

Pogo is the essential pen for signing, creating and writing on your 3D touch iPhone, iPad, or trackpad.

I think these are priced so high because people are keeping their computers for much longer these days.
-
• #10042
I think they're priced so high because:
-fall in value of pound.
-public knowledge of fall in value in pound meaning Apple feel they can get away with proportionally higher increase in costs than are actually warranted by any fluctuation in currency exchange.
-people owning "premium" devices for longer - though this is at odds with Apple now providing their "professional" users with the best consumer laptop ever. -

But the battery

It's super expensive in 'Murcia as well. The difference in U.K./US price isn't massive.

Fully maxed out 15" here in the UK - 4049GBP
In the US the equivalent is 2,899 USD (2,390.95GBP). Even if you add VAT @ 20% that's 2869.20GBP - still nearly 1200GBP cheaper than UK prices. -

Buy something else! I mean I like their products, and sometimes things are worth paying more for, but they really are taking the piss lately.

Ah, crumbs.
4049.
Just going to let that sink in for a minute.
