Rhabdomyolysis is the breakdown of muscle tissue that leads to the release of muscle fiber contents into the blood. These substances are harmful to the kidney and often cause kidney damage.

I'm currently in ICU on a iv drip for the last 24 hours or so.

Thankfully spotted it early, muscle pains, tea coloured urine.

Anyone on here who has had this and what was it like afterwards and did it reoccur?

shiiiiit healtfu! too much exercise, trauma, illness or drugs apparently. what's yours jaw?

Overexertion, dehydration, using muscle groups intensely that you normally ignore, being a stubborn ass etc.

I'd say my case is a mixture of the above but not refuelling properly seems to have tipped it.

Too much exercise and the symptoms started 24 hours later and urine changed colour about 36 hours later.
