Torx Plus is still hexalobular, they've altered the profile slightly to reduce the drive angle further. Details here. I guess you mean Torx Plus IPR which is the pentalobular security type, with a post in the socket. It's still got the same problems as all other security bolts though - you can easily get the bits for them!

Perusing the Wera catalogue I noticed they now have bits for Torx Plus,
penta-lobed, as opposed to the hexa-lobed (normal) Torx.
Is there any mechanical advantage for the penta- option,
or,
is it just a slight security feature and a method for the screw/bolt manufacturers to make more than just a commodity return?
