  • 1 series it has to be then. I've had a couple and they've both been excellent cars.

  • The 1 series are good, I used to drive them as part of the drive now service and really liked them. Would have bought one over here but they all seem to have been thrashed or not looked after and are still expensive. Also very hard to fit a baby capsule in the back. I've also been told the 1.6 turbo "Prince" engine is very poorly engineered.

  • I've read that for any engine that's 2.0 or below, it has to be the diesel.

I've just got to get my 190E tarted up ready for sale now.

  • You can buy my 1 series if you want.
It's very fast. Not very practcal. Awful MPG. Demands premium fuel. Annoys the neighbours. Hard to get into the back. Destroys tyres twice as quickly as a normal car. Not Diesel

    Surely a winner?

  • I'd be...

    -getting a diesel
    -getting a 5 door
    -driving slowly

So hopefully I'd be avoiding most of these?

  • Probably not the car for you.
Know anyone else who wants to buy a silly impractical car?

  • How much are we talking?

  • "Ve need somezing zat vill really appeal to zer man mit ein mid-life crisis."

    ROTFL.

  • Was going to list on Autotrader for £19.5k. Open to offers though. Its a 14 plate.

Has a big spec. Was a demo I think. Has all the swanky M performance carbon/alcantara interior upgrades, including the silly expensive steering wheel. Also has the M performance exhaust system. Business nav, driver comfort pack, bluetooth, connected drive etc etc.

    Has a 5 year service/parts package, with 2 years/17k miles left.

    PM me if serious!

  • Definitely Business Nav and not Professional Nav? Dealbreaker for me...

I'm pretty serious though i won't be in a position to buy until January which probably doesn't help you.

  • Just speccing up a new Macan, thinking metallic beige with matching wheels and beige leather. What do we think?

  • Hope they've got a Chrome Pack in the options

  • Haha, people still buy Alfas?

  • I'm thinking 'I do hope he's joking'.

  • Sorry... Yes, Pro Nav, not business nav. Jan may be a bit late for me. Was hoping to list over the next few weeks, but that depends on how motivated i am.

  • LOL at:
    '1CA SELECTION COP RELEVANT VEHICLES'

  • Cool. I seem to remember seeing pictures a while back and thought it was professional nav...
    No heated seats?

If you do list it, keep me posted as we are almost certainly in the market.

I'm just waiting to see if i get a discount on Audi in my new job but i won't know until Jan.

  • Each to their own I guess!

  • No, annoyingly no heated seats. Its got concierge services though, so you can call them up and ask if if they can get someone to go and sit in it for a while to warm the seats up before you get in.

    Will keep you posted.

  • HA!
I have the concierge thing in my 2 series. Only used it once; felt like a dickhead doing it.

  • Very wise. The diesel A3 drives like shit too. Try one from Zipcar and see for yourself. The Golf is much nicer indeed (which is odd given that they are the same platform)

  • I have no idea what it does, I've never used it. Sounds posh tho.
I like to think you can just call them up and demand stuff.

  • Yeah; i got them to book me dinner in Switzerland (as I was in France driving towards it...).

It was pretty handy but it's not the sort of situation i find myself in often!
