Ah I see. Cheers. That will look brilliant.
I don't have enough room either side for anything sliding. 3 panes it is for me.

Thank God for that note. I'd have probably used the sink if not for that. Phew.
Also, terrible battery life in those Oral B tooth brushes.

This is sort of what we'll be doing next year.
Any forum architects etc who want a commission?

You must have got a bit of a sinking feeling when you saw that.

I know this is the reaction you want but...

Sink puns are great but let's make sure we don't faucet.

Maybe get a new housemate when you get a new sink?

Good call.

Very nice, the one thing that'll bug me about our choice is having to access the garden via the slider, it would be better to have a proper door like your picture but it's all compromise. TBH the route we've already chosen has kicked the kitchen budget into next spring, as long as we have central heating and working sockets & lights for Christmas we'll be happy (none of which we've had for 6 months!). I have a very patient wife.

Aaaaand the thread is back on track, with a bit of Home DIY. :)

Opened space, really pleased the joists sit in the steels so there's nothing protruding into the 1st floor rooms or below into the kitchen ceiling. Wet concrete means no builders for the rest of the week so I can finally have a poo in peace, aaaahhhhhhhh.

Without scrolling back through the thread and hunting for plans, are you planning on adding a floor so it's on a par with the taller buildings either side? Looks a hefty project. Good luck.

Exciting times, are you on site managing or working on projects elsewhere?

I got a wet room shower screen and return panel that we bought for our bathroom which is up for grabs.
We ended up fitting something totally different so this has sat unopened in it's box in my hall.
£140odd new at the minute.
Yours for £90. Collect SE4 or I might deliver within a couple of miles if you ask nicely. -

Noob Q: After steaming off wallpaper, what's the best way to remove the stuff that bunches up against the picturerail? Stanley knife and sandpaper?

Is it gluey paper or paint?
We're not actually going Bi-fold, it will be a 3.6m three pane slider from a local company to us called Bergson & Eaton (http://www.bergsonandeaton.com/ . Annoyingly there isn't a picture on their website of what we're getting, if I stumble on the brochure I'll take a pic.
The problem we had with Bi-Folds were the number of struts obscuring the view when closed Vs how many times in a year we would actually strike the doors fully open to 'enjoy the summer'. We would rather have moar glass.
Edit: pic
