Make it out of the fanciest steel and lugs you want, still looks like crap and will ride like crap.
There's a reason they're rare, it's because no-one was buying them when across the pond Chris Chance and Ritchey and Klein were making bikes that were actually half-decent. And fussy road bike details on off-road bikes are ridiculous
