  • Lezyne Macro drive 800XL for £55 , good deal? Is the Power Drive 1100XL for £75 worth the extra? Need to replace my current one as it doesn't hold charge for very long anymore, and also isn't really bright enough to light up country lanes.

Anything around the price bracket I should think about instead? Must be usb rechargable because cba with batteries, and easy to swap between bikes with no tools.

  • Further to this, has anyone got any opinions on Lezyne in general? Build quality/battery life/runtimes/bar mount etc? Clocks go back soonish and need to sort out some better lighting.

  • I like their front lights. No experience of the rears.

  • I've had two lezyne microdrive rear lights - small, bright enough and simple to use. The rubber cap that covers the USB port needs care; the first one got water in it and died. Second one has been going for over a year and still works fine.

Run time is only about 3 hours depending on setting, but enough for most non audax purposes.

I've recently bought a microdrive duo for on helmet use - bright front light, rear os better than nowt as an additional light. Run time is good. Has a screw on cap over the charging port so looks less likely to suffer water ingress.
