They get paid to talk absolute shite.

Yeah but did you also win the passing in those games? 🤔

The link up play from Alonso and Hazard is starting to look good. Moses seems to have developed a good understanding with Dave and Willian/Pedro.
Can't see Cesc creeping back in the team at this rate. Matic looked good, even if it was only against Man Utd...
Who to drop from the back 3 once Zouma is match fit?

Liverpool are barely top 5. Maybe on this season alone but its still very early days. You've not been consistently top 5 level for quite some time.
Average league finish is 5.3 over the last 10 seasons. Discounting the 2 second prizes they won its much worse.
To be honest the whole concept of a big 4 or big 5 or whatever is ridiculous. Its so fluid. Particularly over the last few seasons.
BTW: I'm not under any illusion Everton are top 4 or 5 or whatever (we can't afford it. Plus we'd just Everton it up).

"Discounting 20% of the available data, things look different". You get an A for effort.

I'm just saying there are outliers. No-one is going to claim Leicester are a big anything team based on last season are they?

can see luiz, zouma and dave but one of them has to be the organiser if Zouma can step in to that roll it would be good, until then Terry/ Cahill - Luiz/zouma and dave is the only certainty for me.
Im really hoping Batshuayi can get some more games in lots of talent there. -

Although Cahill played well yesterday, Luiz and Azpilicueta were exceptional. Cahill was a weak link so often in a back four. He is better protected in a back three. JT will struggle to get a slot and will probably morph into a coaching role as the season progresses.
Fabregas is a strange one. Whereas 3-4-3 brings out the best of a player like Moses,, it does Fabregas no favours. Not sure where he fits in now.
The irony of yesterday was that, whereas Mata doesn't suit a Mourinho system, he would be excellent in a Conte one and you could see that he realised that.

That 3-4-3 is a thing of beauty when it works and it looks like, for now at least, that the squad has bought into it. It gives you so much versatility and with these players and the link up play that they've shown so far I reckon it'll only get better.
We've also got decent backup players for most positions other than Hazard.
The extra rest in between matches is only going to help the squad build on their current form.

Yeah. I'm not being serious, just playing up to the know-nothing-never-been-to-Liverpool whopper stereotype.
It's nice to be near the top of the league at this point, and Man U not being. Everton is just a dig at Pisti, in reality I have no strong feelings either way towards them.

My mate ran into him in an off licence and gave him that shirt.
He was so chuffed when that picture appeared in the papers.

It's not very harmonious at Clapton at the minute.
The previous manager left a few games in for a job as assistant at a team in the same league, away from the Clapton owner's interference.
The new manager, it transpires, has form for a few racist/xenophobic/sexist tweets in the past - hardly ideal for a club whose fanbase is a) about half made up of the foreigners 'Jonny UKIP' wants to send home and b) strongly opposed to discrimination in all its forms.
And he's a shit manager. The assistant, who was caretaker, is massively popular and everyone but the owner wants him in charge.
Step 9 is where it's all happening. Jose who?

The difficult thing for me at the moment is that it's always been very easy to dislike Liverpool managers over the years...
With Klopp, you can't help but like the fella
Still classy
