  • So the big 5 have their rightful spot at the top, with a gap opening up to the Europa League hopefuls like Everton and Man U.

I'm looking forward to the rest of this season.

  • As much as I enjoy seeing Mourinho losing, he can only work with the squad he's got and the majority of it is, by United standards, shit.

  • I'm still amazed that Ferguson coaxed one more title out of that lot.

  • He had all summer and spent the better part of £150m, plus whatever Ibrahimovic gets in wages.

  • I know. But he's still got a load of shit players as he wasn't allowed to replace all 22 of the first team squad. Of the lot he inherited I'd have kept De Gea and Rashford, maybe Marital.

  • I'm listening to 606. It's lolz as always.
"The intensity of the premier league" is getting thrown around.

    @T-V
Yes he has. But got 4 players. That's not great value, but if you run around and spunk it on 8plyaers that's worse.

The maroune question should be answered with "the door".

  • but the 4 players he did sign aren't contributing much. £30m for Bailly? And Mihktaryan has disappeared.

I think Mourinho is finished as a top manager.

  • Lets hope so

  • We're what, nine games in? I don't think you can judge overseas players new to the PL in their opening nine games. I think Bailly actually looks okay, but he needs a decent partner.

I don't know if Mourinho is finished or not, but with that squad he'll need to produce miracles if they are going to win any silverware this season.

  • The thing that will end it for Mourinho is the shit football he gets his teams to play, unlike Wenger who will forever be safe because he plays the game with style.

  • The united team is too soft and full of square pegs in round holes.

Why Schneiderlin isn't playing is beyond me.

Mkhitaryan is one of europe's best players but seems to not even be wanted despite being signed this summer. And Depay is one of only 2 top drawer wingers at the club and is still not being played.

  • PSG vs Marseille :)

  • too soft
    Can someone confirm this thought:
I think that's it, the reason lord ferg got a trophy out of most of this lot -what 4, 5, years ago? - is there was a core of winners at the team. Carrick et al.

  • Great result, that's more like it!

  • And Depay is one of only 2 top drawer wingers at the club and is still not being played.

Have you seen Depay play? He's terrible. Mkhitaryan not playing is baffling. Is he injured or something?

  • not match fit.

but do stop panicking ladies. it doesn't really kick off until January. and most of the top teams were shit this weekend

  • Yep - he's not terrible, he's talented and could be very good in my opinion and is an actual left (inverse) winger. Rashford, lingard, young, are either not good enough or not wingers.
Valencia is the only united player who ever crosses and usually from 10 yards too deep

  • Have you seen Depay play? He's terrible. Mkhitaryan not playing is baffling. Is he injured or something?

Didn't HenryMickyTerry shirk challenges in the derby that passed the manager off?
To think how they laughed at us because they got depay and we got Bobby F...

Not sure how useful flip flopping their business strategy has been? In house, long term approach appointment one minute to galactico; we'll recover that fee in shirt sales the next?

Should just rename him Jose Melanoma. He'll get your 15 minutes in the sun, but he'll leave you with a nasty scar.

  • I think his salad days are over...

  • mourihno should just stick to parking his bus

  • I think he was going to try to park the bus but going 1 down within 30 seconds meant he actually needed his team to attempt attacking football and look what happened.
Same record as Moyes so far. Loving it

  • Don't know what happened yesterday, they made us look really good... Which we're not...

    Yet...

I'm really liking the new boys Kante, obvs, and Alonso... Too early to tell if the new formation is what's done the trick but it's good to see us playing as a team... Costa has clearly been told to dial his bad boy behaviour down, not a bad thing...

  • Great day out at the emirates on Saturday. We didn't really want the ball, turns out you don't really need the ball against Arsenal when they are in that kind of ponderous mood.

  • To be fair to ManU, they came with the idea of defending in depth and trying to sneak an away goal on the counter. They would have been happy with a 0-0 but clearly hoped to be able to snatch a win. This strategy went out of the window in the first minute, forcing them to come out and exposing them at the back. At the same time, Chelsea's 3-4-3 gave them strength at the back , particularly early in the second half when soaking up what pressure ManU could bring to the game, as well as outlets at the front.

Although it has been said that Chelsea's goals all came on the counter attack with ManU dominating possession, it is difficult to see how Pedro's goal can be considered a counter attacking goal as ManU hadn't touched the ball before it went into the net. Similarly, Cahill's goal came from a corner, not the epitome of a counter attacking move. Hazard and Kante scored after carefully created build ups.

There was some counter attcking but none resulted in goals.

ManU's 56% posssion was clearly only "overwhelming" if you are a Brexiteer.

  • Glen hoddle I used to like but he's shown himself to be a Titwank of the highest order; he kept bangin on about it being all good liverpool dominating against the likes of wba but could they do it against bigger teams?!
So we played spurs away, they were lucky to get a point, beat arse away, beat cfc away and drew with united.
I swear these cats are stealing a living.
