I drove my Porsche to Glyndebourne today, then had a picnic and watched Madame Butterfly. Super.

She met an American naval officer, married him, had a baby, waited three years after he buggered off, then killed herself with her father's sword when he turned up with a new wife to take their son away. And sang about it the whole time. As you do.
