Thinking ahead to when I install my Hollogram SL + Power2Max setup on my Supersix, presumably adopting this technique would also involve the Power2Max spending some time getting freezy in the freezer?

Triton have 58cm CAAD12 frameset, SI cranks/spidering and C2 carbon post for £765 - that's a pretty good deal, right?

Hell yeah!

No - you can install the spindle on its own or with the NDS loosely attached, then bolt on the drive side and tap the drive side with a mallet until it sits home. Then bolt down the NDS as per normal.

ETap shifting kit + spare wheel set... So tempted.

change to a bb30 crank like the rotor power2max

Ah yes, I suppose the spindle could be installed by itself. Not sure how you could install it with the NDS attached though - doesn't the spindle have to be installed from the DS given the shoulder on the spindle on the drive side?
-

That's what it's got at the moment, but that's going on something else.

Hammering new bearings on headshok fork.
Holy shit balls as they are not moving...even with a collar to hammer on. May have to hunt a long pipe.
I understand now why the headtube is full of screwdriver marks!

If you have the SL spindle with the shoulder, it's supposed to be installed without either arm attached to it.
The shoulder goes on the NDS and the pre-load is applied through the DS.

Pop the seals off then heat them up. There's a tool to seat them that's similar to crown race driver, but a pipe that applies pressure to the inner race will do.

Off I go to find a pipe then... what do I heat it with?
...but I am dropping some stuff at a bicycle workshop on Saturday that's no good for me, maybe they have something to drive them home.
Also, FFS Cannondale. The first 3 inches go smoothly and then it's all out war :)

Heat the bearings in an oven. Not too hot, obvs, but enough to get them uncomfortable to touch.
If you can fit it in your freezer bag the fork up and chill it for an hour or two first, too.
Science!

This is ready for a weekends dirt road riding in yorkshire.
Doing this route saturday as it sounds like the 3 peaks is a no go when the race isn't on

Does anyone know the difference between the Supersix Evo and Hi-Mod for 2016 (so not the latest model)? From what I can gather, a new Hi-mod was brought out 2016, and the Evo has been updated to match for 2017. Does this mean the 2016 Evo is a 3-4 year old design, i.e. small tyre clearance?
Was looking at CAAD12, but there are 2016 Evo's out there for similar money...

Apart from being different carbon, they're the same until they updated for wider tyres, yep. I can't fit anything wider than 24mm in my HM. Small price to pay for a really good frame.

Ive got an Evo HM from 2015 and was thinking about squeezing in 28s. 25's on my 27mm ENVEs seem to have loads of room left over.
Seems to be a tolerance issue on the LHS on either the bb shell or perhaps the axle...
