Gangsta is no exception. People get so defensive when you call them out for spending £500+ on plain guage cromoly
-
• #4355
How much you spend on your custom max track frame?
I'd be interested to have a spin. For research purposes.

Easy Oli, he bought it second or third hand I think

Wasn't on the attack :) just intetested to compare material / cost

gangsta Def not the most luxurious bike on the planet. Makes me smile. That's all that matters really.

• #4359
£380 second hand
-
• #4360
And it was only 700 new iirc. About the same price as a second hand gangsta

you are missing the point though, obviously that fbm is a heavy hitter bmx from mid 2000? brooklyns are poser bikes. nothing about them is actually good other than aesthetics

Late 90s.
Fair play i am tho i really don't 'get' that Brooklyn

Pharells verse of numbers was terrible.
I wonder who Nigel will get picked up by now, i wouldn't be surprised if he starts riding go pro branded frames or summin

When generalised the same can be said about almost every material possession. The crazy prices people are willing to pay for them is a reflection of peoples desires and nothing else. What you get with BMW are solid frames that can take a beating, I don't think they claimed otherwise.
-

Well if someone spends that kind of money on a frame they have to at least believe that it's worth it for whatever reason. If it's their hard earned money all the power to them. It's just money after all. Who cares? Having said that both my V1 & V2 were bought for much less than that.

judging pharrel due to one single (which is awful anyway)
did you not listen to n.e.r.d. growing up? he is an icon
and yeah definitely. whatever brand will pay him most, can't see it being within bmx
-
• #4371
I'm not dissing them on the price or whatever (mainly cause the price is set by the market now not them). My point is that BMX isn't a solid frame, it looks badly designed apart from swedes point of posing.
When i talk about Brooklyn not moving with the times it has almost nothing to do with the Gangsta tracks, they were still making the RaceLink DH until a recently and that was about 20 years out of date. A race worthy DH bikes sells low end hartails

Milkshake is a classic tbf

(Sorry its just too good. It does everything I want and more, so unlikely i'll find anything better to replace it with)

Because 4130 from Orlowski is like 400-450 for frame and fork. Why spend twice that (which has happened) on something that won't fit you as well. Dont get why people pay over the odds just for the 'brand'
this is the problem with BMW, people will spaff over that BMX on the internet but in real life it's a shit bike
