Rumours are that Apple is looking at e-ink keyboards so the keys can update the symbols. No need to produce different international versions, Photoshop, etc. can change the symbols to represent keyboard shortcuts and so on

So.... an iPad then?

I know we've been over this 1000 times but...
Thunderbolt 3 and cinema displays with integrated GPU have been rumoured quite a bit.
Makes me wonder what they'll do with the Mac Pro and Mini. It's not crazy to imagine they would merge them and have a high-end 12 core i7 option on the Mini that could replace the Pro.
If the Mini gets all the ports and cpu options ranging from i3 to i7/Xeon, that would be pretty cool. -
• #9868
I imagine a mini with the foot print of the Apple TV but about 5 times as high. That would be dead nice. with all the ports, and decent gibbons inside. Oh please Apple.
Also display with GPU, yep, please, i'll take one.
But the big question, how will all this new stuff run DayZ? Can't wait to find out... -
• #9869
They could do a standalone gpu/dual gpu plus expandable storage that has the same footprint that you can put the mini on top of.
Or just have a "with or without gpu" option on the displays...
That would make things super simple for companies when ordering stuff.
Everyone gets Minis of varying speed from accounts to creatives etc etc and they just pick the displays/expansion boxes as needed. That might actually be more confusing. I don't know...
-
• #9870
If the expansion boxes have regular slots, that could be cool...

Conjecture is where madness lies...
Expect nothing more than spec bumps for everything but the MBP. -
• #9873
Look at the current Mac Pro, that thing came out of the blue. It's not mad to think they might do something totally new with all their desktops when it's something they've repeatedly done in the past.
They've made a lot of hires in the last two years with people who'd be all over this, notably Anand Lal Shimpi with not an utterance as to why. Also, Nvidia has been hiring people for "Apple stuff".

Yeah what @Well_is_it said, but sadly, I think @Soul is right.
Spec bumps. Bit slimmer. Some odd bar thing that changes buttons and crippled GPU's that over heat. -

Would that really warrant a special event though? An Oled F-row?
fuck you both. I hope the new mbp has a dvd drive and no headphone port and 1 usb-c and NOTHING else.
