Is that type of rear brake cable routing (seemingly with full outers?) normal for a bike of that era that doesn't have internal routing?

Good point, didn't notice this. It does seem a little strange when considering the era I would have thought this comes from. Having a quick search online seems both internal and external routing models were produced, presumably with internal being the later model.

Heh, sorry, I didn't mean to directly interrogate just you about that ;)

I wonder when frames shifted to the current thing of cable stops then...
