Also looking for suggestions. Need wide-fitting spd shoe/boot to see me through the horror, south of £100 ideally... Will go and try but some suggestions would be welcome!

Specialized generally come up wide-ish in my experience, and if you/anyone's interested I have a pair of their Defroster MTB (i.e. SPD recessed fitting) boots, UK10/EU44, bought a couple of years ago but only worn about 3 times, gave up on them because I have an issue caused by a bad metatarsal break that means very few shoes of any size/type work for me and can only find out the hard way (buying them first).

I have just started using the Shimano xm7 shoes, seem to do the job ok.
