  • What a pain.

I brought the frame online from Germany but Cannondale seems to say I can take it to an official dealer on the same continent. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes, you can. But the dealer you choose will hate you for it. I'd be inclined to make the original vendor feel the pain to be honest. They might be better motivated to help you, whereas a UK vendor will see you as a job to be done for which they will get little return - unless you make it worth their while by buying something / beer etc.

Is there anyway I might also be able to claim back the money spent on parts and labour as I'll need to shell out all over again once/if the frame is replaced?

Who are you going to send the bill to? I don't mean to be facetious but unless one of the parties involved in this owns up and offers to foot the bills you are going to have a hard time with that. I'd keep that under you hat until a replacement frame is on the way, and then go direct to Cannondale Europe.

You could try being 'that guy' on social media. You might have to. Not a great situation to be in.

They shouldn't, generally the difference is that you have to pay for the labour (that would otherwise be free if it brought from the shop).
