  • I really didn't like the route. I also associate it with having four punctures in one day and having to do a detour to get more tubes. So that sucked :-)

  • I'm ok with it. I've had good things and bad things on it. It's close and serves a purpose I guess.

    If there are any other west London audaxes I would love to know about them. I've done EWE and Steamride but that's about it I think.

  • I would get myself to Croydon for repeated loops of the Around the Weald Expedition. There is excellent bivi in White Lane where the tea stand is on the hill climb or maybe even a bus stop near Beddlestead. You would still get nice Grimpeur du Sud Badge if you 5x this year!

    What is EWE?
    We're organising on which debuts next May, starting from Ruislip. It's an interesting route - half Chilterns to warm up in the morning then flatter roads in Surrey to get back quick!
    It's on the AUK site. I've done a route check but don't have a final GPX as the route kept bouncing around.
