Try the continental grand prix (without the 4000s). They are tougher and roll like 4 watts slower...
next step I guess is Schwalbe Durano (not plus)....

I like my Durano DD in 25mm, feel grippier than the Durano Plus and don't have the squidgy blue layer. One puncture in 9 months and only a Durano Plus would have saved me.
