people were warning about bb height when converting but haven't experience any difficulties at all with 70mm bb-drop and 175mm cranks with my conversion.
i guess if i cornered really hard with inside pedal down i might experience pedal strike but that scenario seems unlikely. what i gained with the conversion was a more stable ride and reduced trail which are both benefits when riding with load at the front.
