If it's just for sitting at home watching then you can get radio signal headphones with a base station pretty cheap compared to bluetooth ones (and depending on the device you may get annoying lag watching videos with bluetooth headphones)

Cheers, yep just straight line. Basically trying to watch a movie with a baby sleeping next to you is hard. And the living situation won't be resolved for a while yet.
@Soul thanks for the input too. Never been a bose fan but will have a look. Noise cancellation is not a requirement though.
