I'm in Vienna now for a week. I was planning to come to Stockholm, but I couldn't combine it with Vienna...
I've got a school trip to Stockholm in December, and I'll prolly bring a bike for the weekend.

Lever could do with moving up a tad and bar rotating down a tad.

Cheers lad. I wasn't being too precise with position yet.

I had the same problem fitting a BB7 on my Pompetamine.
Makes more sense now, re. generic adaptors. It did fit, but only just, there really wasn't much clearance. I had to trim the cable extension to almost nothing, and I couldn't use the end cable guide either, the bend was too sharp, so it was cable-tied it a bit further up the chainstay.

Stupid idea: Combine your chainstay end guide with the reverse of this picture (The brake arm can be refitted 60degrees forward/backwards of the normal position) So refit the brake arm into an forward position-
There could be problems with enough room... :) + cable has to pull downwards.
That setup was done, just because we could - and to see how well it
worked (which was fine). The Avid mech arm can be re-installed every
60 deg, because it sits on an hex key. The return spring was
re-positioned to provide a similar return force. The frame was
designed to handle the earlier version of BB7 caliper, which had a
longer arm, but I did not have one handy to modify by the time this
project happened. The pictured setup is on a MTB tandem, and there is
no shortage of braking power. -

Oops, you're right, my bad. I swapped the BB7s for a spare pair of BB5s when I sold the bike, that's one of the pics for the sale.

Would Force 22 brifters work with the Apex 1 rear mech in a 1x config?

Whats current forum opinion on the best cable discs? I'm anticipating moving away from hydraulics once I want drops on my orlo
-
• #110797
Probably HY/RD if you still want the modulation of the Hydro disc but not the ugly ass levers.
Or Spyre if you want to go full Mech.
-
• #110798
HY/RD just seems like more things to go wrong. Was thinking just go full mechanical
TRP hylex is still the only hydraulic SS specific lever right? -
• #110799
Go hydro. So worth it.
