Would you just use longer wheel bolts or studs to hold it all together though? Clearly on the brake pads on the caliper shouldn't be an issue, as you'd have to respace the caliper with an adaptor, and provided the studs or bolts are the right length it shouldn't interfere with the brake shoes in the handbrake mechanism. Does the Ovlov use wheel nuts or wheel bolts? I'm assuming the latter given its relative youthfulness.
That's what I'd seen at danstuff.info, thanks for the input. The chap who looks after the car doesn't think that the pads would clear the bolts required to attach a bell to the face of the handbrake drum, which rather scuppers that idea.
