This is supposed to be a modem/router. But i have tried it on its own and connected via the old modem.
But ill give a longer turn off/on idea.
Yeah, try via the old modem, but make sure the old modem is power cycled and left off for at least 1 minute before being turned back on.
This is the single thing issue that trips me up every time I've replaced a modem. I vowed not to forget it in future.

Fucking painful but sorted it out! Holy crap sticks is it fast compared to what it was before!!
