Why do you own that Tremelo not a different one?
It was a leaving present from @rickster and his colleagues when we all worked together... I've got tremolo on my Fender Twin as well, this creates extra wobbliness when the two go out of phase with each other...
How good is that Reuss Repeater Fuzz?
It's awesome... AFAIK the repeater is based on the in-built repeater effect on a Vox Starstreamer, the fuzz is pretty nice too so you get two pedals in one plus a boost...
What is to the right of the Repeater?
It's a Jimmy Behan ToneBender Mk1 clone, bought it off @rickster and I'm super happy with it... Instant Ron Asheton...
Why / how good is the Goo Goo Fuzz? (I like my fuzz but I feel I could like another one more!)
It's amazing, vicious Shin-Ei/Univox Superfuzz clone... If you love Bryan Gregory's sound this is the pedal for you...
EDIT: The Reuss Repeater is a clone of the 1960s Vox V809 Repeat Percussion effect...

Anders at Reuss is a super nice guy, check out the sound samples on the website... I love both my Reuss pedals, very tempted to buy the Rowland Howard one next... I REALLY want a Harmonic Percolator tho', really badly...
PS The Fucktones are/were shit!!!!! 😉

PS TS it's not a Mk1. Mk1 is the orig 3-tranny circuit, see M. Ronson. It's a clone of a Vox Tone Bender, which is a marginally later 2-tranny transitional circuit closely allied to what is now (not then) called the Mk1.5, which filled the new-style Sola Sound cases before they could get the smoother Mk2 circuit together, see J. Page, and the 1.5 is basically what Arbiter allegedly stole to create the Fuzz Face. At least, I think. Can o'worms. Worry not. It is teh fuzzness...

Shellac in a box, great name... do it...

I'll have to play it first, it's got the right germanium and silicon in it apparently so hopefully it'll sound right... The feedback control and weird glitchy sounds are what's attracting me... I'll obviously never find a real one, so why not?

I've got nothing to compare it to, I can get some really mental sounds out of it which I love... No complaints here...
Also, I don't know what a Chinese pedal sounds like... 🤔

Bought this on Sunday at Tym's... Hand made in Brisbane Harmonic Percolator homage... Tried it through an MIJ Jaguar into one of Tym's beautiful amps and was totally unimpressed, could barely get anything out of it... Then I tried a recent TV Special through it, again nothing... It was only when I plugged a CIJ Strat in that things really started happening, it was howling LAMF... Took a punt, brought it home and tried it with three or for guitars through my Twin and it sounds awesome... Harmonics like you wouldn't believe, sustain for days! The even ordered harmonics sound really beautiful to my ears... It can sound really mean and gnarly or very rich and chimey when backed off... Love it...
Germanium, transistor or silicone clipping via the mini toggle...

Anyone able to ID the small amp Vest is using next to his Hiwatt? Says something like "FAL"?

Got my Tokai TV Junior back from Tym's with the new Mick Brierley P90 in it... It's amazing, night and day compared to what was in there... Also tried putting some decals on it, looked shit, took them straight off again...

FAL is probably right. They used to make guitar amps / bass amps / PAs, even dabbled in disco setups in the 70s. Always to be found in crappy rehearsal studios in the 90s. Hard to google which is probably why they're so cheap now. Look for their model names is my advice - Falcon, Kestrel, Phase, and PA150, PA100, etc. - combined with the word FAL that shoudl bring up a few results.

Yeah, but only fuzz pedals...
Fuzz is always useful, it's the only effect worth bothering with at the end of the day...

I'm pretty old school, I hate chorus, flangers and phasers and not a very big fan of delay either... Which only leaves reverb, fuzz, wah and tremolo... That's all any self-respecting guitarist needs IMHO... 😉

- When I was playing more guitar, yes. Weirdest is probably ZVEX Machine.
- They don't last long on my board if they're not useful! I'm not massively into modulation stuff but anything that sounds like the amp is about to explode is good.

Swap wah for delay, you heathen!

the latest blown out record is so good.
Wonder if he ever just sits down and strums an acoustic...

I take reassurance that somewhere out there right now, Vest is hammering an amp and fuzz pedal.

Fuzz = Everything
I can unlock the mysteries of the universe with a teeny tiny bit of Germanium, fuck CERN...

PS I love CERN...

What would you buy a 14 year old lad who is starting to get into his guitar? He has a reasonable electric guitar which he plays through a Blackstar ID Core amp.
£200 or so budget for his Chrimbo pressie.

What sort of music is he into? What's he trying to play?
I recently upgraded from a TU-2 to a TU-3 and to be honest, I think I preferred the TU-2... The TU-3 seems to take longer to find the notes, nice lights and all that but I think I should've stuck with what I had... Also thinking about getting a TC Polytune Mini, mainly because they're so small but also because I'm fast becoming a solid gold plated pedalboard whore/bore...
@Zed Thanks! But I should probably point out that Strat was a very dodgy £120 eBay Japan find... ;)
