What is the light source of your scanning setup?
The first of the Cuil Bay shots looks pretty good, most other "scans" look a bit dull -lacking contrast / no real blacks..
..are these OOC or did you already edit them in some way?

Thanks Tina, the scanner setup is not kid friendly so is an evening time job only!
The light source for the scans is the enlarger light box.
In terms of scan processing, I invert the curve in LR (this makes all the controls invert so it gets a bit awkward after this stage!)
I think my scanning process using average metering and aperture mode on the camera might be killing the contrast somewhat.... Might re-edit these later with that in mind.
Hp5+ pushed to 1600 and development at home in Ilford DDX. Scanned using my digital camera and enlarger.
