Rapha, nice but a bit pricey?

If it gets cold wear the IBG under a jacket (like the classic wind) for some super warmy feelings. Great versatile product when you use it like this.

I guess the final question is why don't I just buy this and wrap some 3M tape on it? :D

Because down doesn't like the rain, or sweat (esp. If you wear a bag) and won't pack as light. Probably warmer too
Edit: this is from someone who has both that gilet and the jacket. They're great, but nowhere near as functional

Yep, it would be fine if you're in sub-zero (ie dry) conditions, not doing a highly aerobic activity like cycling (because of sweat), and didn't need to clean regularly. Synthetic insulation for active sports and broad range of conditions.

Classic Winter Jacket > is it the replacement for the Hard- or Softshell? And more to follow??

Seems to be the same material as the hardshell. Looks very similar to the hard shell with the zippered dropped tail of the city jacket but with underarm ventilation zips. Good idea. Special edition looks especially good. Pity it doesn't have a discreet reflective stripe or 2 across the back & front.

It's the same fabric as the revised generation of Pro Team Softshell (Powershield Pro), just presumably in a more relaxed cut and with pit zips. I'm guessing they killed the Classic Hardshell and Softshell off because this covers both bases.

@chh it's not a replacement for the hardshell. My classic winter jacket is great but is only water resistant at best - I get wet (but stay warm) pretty quickly in it. The hardshell is far more waterproof than the CWJ.

That had me confused; its powershield pro but looking at some of the pictures on the special edition it looks the same material as the old hardshell. Powershield Pro looks very different... ? Strange

Do you want them because you think H6's might be good? Because they're not. They're one of the most distinctly average pairs of headphones I've ever listened to in my life.

They should have gone with the B&W P7 IMO.

H6's are audiophile cans that won't sound pleasing to most people.
