Not entered yet, theres a good crowd from work thinking about running it too and places don't often sell out that quickly. Under 90 mins would be over 3 mins off my PB, but that was set without doing any specific speed work, just marathon training so hopefully should be feasible.
Yeah always welcome!

Not successful (good hack @HatBeard). Kind of relieved knowing how much work there is to do now from training for Dublin.

I'm not in but I'm more disappointed that my bf isn't in. He didn't want to enter the ballot but I entered him anyway and assumed that sods law would guarantee him a place.

I accidentally wore a long sleeve top over my T-shirt today.
Had to take it off within a couple of minutes and paid penance by having an annoying flappy thing tied round my waist for the next hour while still overheating in standard shorts/t-shirt combo.
In my defence I've barely run this year so I'd almost forgotten how to do it.

Got the official confirmation:
Unfortunately your application to run the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon has been unsuccessful
-
• #14232
I did this too, just a thin layer under my tshirt as I planned an easy technique based session, baking within about 10 minutes!

Do they send out emails for the marathon too or just through the post? Can't remember what address I registered at
-
• #14234
I got my 'unsuccessful' email on Tuesday (4.11pm UK time). Still haven't had anything through the post yet.
Have you checked what lists you're on by clicking on the unsubscribe link in a recent VLM email?

• #14235
Yeh, not on any unsuccessful lists if I'm doing it right! It's got my hopes up a little
-
• #14236
^ knowing my luck I'd be so unsuccessful I wouldn't even make it onto the unsuccessful list.
Hope you're in.

Taper cold, race related dreams, mind buzz all in full flow.
Thinking of renting a Segway for Meriden.

I'm out, one more opportunity through the club ballot...

Continuing doing the same training will largely give the same results. So, if your stuck progressing, change something.
Although what would depend of your idea of getting better... faster, longer distances, more confident offroad..........

Running eh. I was feeling great, then had the flu. Felt awful so decided to take my recovery seriously, aka no running for 2 weeks. The concept of exercise now feels alien and my legs still ache. Le meh.

I got in! Well chuffed. How much is it?
-
• #14242
Cheap, about £35 I think

Has anyone entered the ballot for the Hoka Highland Fling race. Or got a place on a relay team?

Good luck with the double.
Our x country is on the driest course ever this afternoon. I'm wearing racing flats.
Enjoy parkrunning, hope you break the 19.
booo, I saw someone with a rejection jumper on in Sainsbury's last night, I tried to sound sympathetic but realised afterwards I just sounded like a smug bastard!
