If you had kept the mice you would not have rats.

Rat poison and hope they don't die in the ceiling.

Maybe they are mice. They just seem a bit loud for that, and they never come into the house now.

The ceiling boards amplify the scratching sounds. We thought we had something huge in our loft but it was those pesky li'l meeces.
