That seems more sensible to me - when I talked about being flexible it was in terms of the design, we ended up getting two prototypes and feeding back on the positive / negatives of the amp itself. You can get lucky with prototypes or they can spend half their time in the shop. If you like the tweed then it's worth fiddling with it a bit. I love mucking about with tubes on an already lovely amp.
Well, a minimat is the amp - the tolex and such isn't too much of a concern to me. Bit bored of my tweed, so considering a change up in the sound.
Wonder if its worth just swapping the speaker and tubes perhaps, rather than a new amp?
