That seems more sensible to me - when I talked about being flexible it was in terms of the design, we ended up getting two prototypes and feeding back on the positive / negatives of the amp itself. You can get lucky with prototypes or they can spend half their time in the shop. If you like the tweed then it's worth fiddling with it a bit. I love mucking about with tubes on an already lovely amp.
If you can be a bit flexible about what you want, you can get some good deals - or at least you used to be able to.
We got two 100w heads, a 4x12 cab, and a 200w bass head for about £2000 all in. Thank you rich support band.
