You mean apart from how far in the stopper is screwed?
-
• #79503
what determines where you place the axle within that dropout?
Forward for criteriums, back for spring classics. And prepare to be quizzed about #whatpressureyourunning

Yes, let's assume that you've learnt to adjust that thanks to your MechEng degree.

Nah, asking for a friend... The existing paint is in pretty good condition tbh, I think I'll keep it as-is for now.
I'm sure now I've put that in writing I'll change my mind... :)

Anyone know the approximate turn around time for a BIGxTop saddle roll? Ordered on the 26th Sept and sent a follow up email but haven't heard back yet.
I appreciate these aren't mass produced and wasn't in any rush but it'd be good to have a rough idea. -

Anyone know how to actually change your display name in outlook/hotmail?
I've edited it to my married name in my profile but it's my old name that still appears when I send an email.
Seems like a common problem but all I can find online is people describing how it should be done, not what to do when that doesn't work.

I have a 27.5+ wheel set currently with 2.8 tyres on 40mm internal width rims. Can I use regular 57-584 (27.5 x 2.25, 650B) tyres on this wheel set?
I want to mount studded tyres and the options are pretty limited in 27.5+

Yes. They will be quite opened out, but you're not going to be leaning over very far on studded tyres unless you're taking up ice speedway.

thanks, those are some serious studded tyres^

That's the advantage of ice over shale - you don't get blasted with dirt, you get cleaned by ice blasting.

Is there another crown race/baseplate compatible with a 1" Chris King NoThreadSet that costs less than £20?

Is it inadvisable to remove that irritating fucking dust shield from a Kryptonite lock?
-
• #79522
it snapped off my lock years ago and doesn't appear to have affected it too badly
(it'll probably now seize up next week on me!)
-
• #79524
What actually stops it falling off in the first place? Can't find any pics of the lock without the cover

Where can I get mounts like these for less than £billion?
Lady wants Shimano downtube shifters mounted as thumb shifters.
Alternatives (ie, a-head stem sized band-on) also considered.
On older bikes with dropouts like this:
what determines where you place the axle within that dropout? Just occurred to me.
