hate to be 'that guy' but there is zero point in not entering draws for chocolate yeezy 750s this weekend right? I have spare cash - is there any chance of not being able to flip them for at least retail if I win them? literally zero knowledge of the reselling scene but it anecdotally seems like these are shooting fish in a barrel?
-
• #19635
despite them being gopping you could resell instantly for bucks. but that's a game for cunts in my opinion.
-
• #19636
Jeezys are the exception to that rule.
Resell the hell out of those goppers.
-
• #19637
Second that as Pisti has recently shown. In this case the punters are the cunts.

Like I said, I have no qualms in buying Yeezy's and selling them on to the untold amount of bellwhiffs out there willing to pay 4 or 5 times retail

Was having this discussion the other day. BITD when they released any Jordan or other ace bits there was no release date set by the brand.
It was a case of keeping on your toes(excuse the pun) and waiting for them to appear then word of mouth would take over. I remember making numerous trips to Cobra or Footlocker, sometimes I won, sometimes I lost.
Don't know why they don't just keep quiet nowadays too to save all the bullshit raffles and queuing.
If a trainer is good enough it will still sell then everyone gets a fair crack at the whip -

BITD I don't even remember shoes selling out. Good to get them early from release, but you could ALWAYS get them from somewhere...London, Manchester, Leeds...wherever...for retail. I don't really remember not being able to get anything. Maybe some of the first rifts were my first memory of that, but not every half decent shoe.
You know probably more than anyone why they don't 'just keep quiet..etc' :) with hype the stuff just sells itself instantly and those who miss out's hunger builds for the next one with resellers fuelling it all further. Kanye isn't giving people a great shoe he's giving anyone who can get one at retail £500.
Did you see that IG post from Erik @sns on the last yeezy release? 5,000,000 unique IP addresses were trying for them, just from sns. Reckoned they we're stopping 40,000 bots too? Don't even know how they know. Thought what he said was pretty decent as most independents and fake influencers just suck up for free pairs.

Even Air Rifts were available for years after original release on Eastbay. I think I got them in '97 or '98 with a big discount.

Got my first Rift from Ko Kon To Zai on Greek St, early '97...both colours

After all those years I still don't get the point of Rifts.

Back in the early 90s when I was a teenager we used to get a group ticket for the train to go to a market in Beverwijk to pick up Nike AM1 Japanese editions and samples mainly. It was very hit and miss but those trips were always a highlight.
