Hayley's bike seems to have been messed about with because of failing UCI regs, but looks like being fast on a dual carriageway isn't necessarily a good indicator of being fast on an international stage...
Arguably, most of that course was on dual carriageways. No doubt Xav can give us an exclusive inside line on what happened. :)

The bike setup thing was extremely frustrating and needn't have resulted in the changes that were made. Heat is a big thing and you can see a lot of riders struggling compared with normal, it's a shame that the comparison will be made with V718 times etc. as that's not really relevant. Results in UCI TTs this year (eg. Crono Champenois, which was pre another AeroCoach session where we found her some more speed) show that she's right up there in normal conditions. At CC she finished in between Lisa Brennauer and Sophie-Ann Duyck (6th and 8th yesterday), and ~1min behind Amber Neben (1st) and Ellen Van Dijk (2nd) over a longer distance:
stunning ride so far from Ryan Mullen, very average from Marcin, and a disappointing ride from Hayley yesterday.
