They only announce events a week or two in advance. The whole Mac lineup is due for a big update so I expect they'll definitely have an event and not just quietly refresh them.

Heard September, then pushed to October but now heard pushed to November so they could hold shareholders meeting in interim without kerfuffle.

As above, if you don't need it imminently - i.e. your old one broke - hold fire. Very imminent but doubt it'll be this month. Other factor to consider is if they iPhone7ise their MBP range and lose thunderbolt/usb3/other ports - not sure your workflow (or anyone's!) is ready for usb-c yet.

A long wished for headless iMac with a desktop gpu. LolMac.

Would buy in seconds. But won't happen. Would be well up for an i7 and desktop gpu headless mac.

The xMac is a mythical computer that means different things to different people but is most known as a conventional tower (ish) form factor with expandability and non-workstation class processors to keep costs down. It would be priced somewhere between a Mini and an iMac.

Imagine an Apple TV footprint. 3-4 times the height. With good gubbins inside. I5/i7 Rx 470/480 or 1060/1070.

A modular mini would be interesting. Have an external GPU in the same case that sits on top.

To be fair, Intel have been delayed to shit and have missed launch schedules which has probably set back Apple's refresh cycle.

They're going to have to make a hell of a splash to reassure people they're still a computer company, even if they did drop the word "computer" from their name a few years ago.
