  • Bought these hoping they'd fit on my bike - they don't :(
    Advertised as 1 1/8" - 1 1/2" but on the invoice they're down as 1 1/2" - 1 1/4" ??

These are new in their box (only opened box to get to the invoice).

Don't wanna post but happy to meet near Kennington or Forest Hill/Crystal Palace area.

    Cheers

  • Have you measured them to find out which measurement is correct? Interested pending definite sizing.

  • No not yet

  • Any development on this? Still interested.

  • None I'm afraid

  • I will endeavour to do this in the next few days - I just really can't be arsed to dig around for my calipers.

  • ?

  • Do you mean that this fork is either:

1.5--->1 1/8 tapered or 1.25--->1 1/8 tapered ? I believe those are the only tapered forks offered by enve.

Reason i ask is both will fit your 44mm headtube if thats what you have. You just need a different bottom cup on the headset.

The 1.25 tapered fork is a nicer looking fork imo as its a tad slimmer at the crown.

  • Still got these Angus? Whats the deal with the steerer?

  • Yeah man, still don't know about the steerer.
50% chance of getting what you want though - not bad odds.

  • It's hard to see the steerer through the bubble wrap, and the photo above isn't tapered.

  • It's tapered

  • I'd like it untapered.

Do you think I could do that with, you know, like a scalpel or something?

    Thanks

  • Paha

  • Bit of wet and dry and some elbow grease will do it.

  • and you gotta blow on it.

  • Inverse taper?
If you apply some plaster of paris to the tip then it should balance out the taper.

  • @Hulsroy @facsimile

  • Thanks but I have some.

  • And these were for sale a year ago

  • And @amey astutely noticed that they hadn't sold.

  • Love these forks so much, can barely imagine life without them.

  • Are you talking to @Amey?

Not sure he understands emotion - just impracticality.

  • I was about to tag you @Dick and say you could have canti front brake and disc rear on the Giant
