  • Doesn't sound as good then. I had the opposite experience where the seller's solicitor was shit and she was good in chasing them up (it ended up with her sending letters to the head partner at the other side as the individual we were dealing with was so poor).

    I suspect for a lot it's very workload dependent. If they're busy they turn crap which is a bit useless.

    Very much this. The number of files one conveyancer can deal with efficiently is quite low, so the tipping point is easily reached.
