It work decently, it is not as powerful due to the fact it's clamped on, and the brake itself are great on it's own.
I compensate by fitting Swissstop BXP pads which helped noticably, and can perform emergency stop with some effort.
If you're used to slowing down by using your legs, then with the combination of that front brake it work pretty well.
