I'm using a Hasselblad X5 later to rescan some negatives... Geekily giddy. Should be interesting to see how it compares with a Noritsu.

Nice!
Would be cool if you could post comparisons... -
• #12479
Will do. I only have 20 mins with the scanner and haven't used one before so it might not be very scientific...

cool. remember to take a dust blower brush if you have one. and don't worry with 3F for your first time, just pick a color profile and get some TIFFs out

Awesome. Cheers pal - I called them earlier asking if they have gloves (they do) so I'm assuming there's a dust blower knocking about.

From what I remember I'm sure you can just drag the program onto your hardrive. Install the app on your comp and then edit them at home with all the profiles etc. So your time is spent scanning rather messing about with profiles and levels.

Well that was easy. Hardest part is lining up the negative in the magnetic holder.
Will post results later...

New scan of this one too. Follow link for high res.

Nice!
Like the middle and last one especially.
Colours don't look that Ektar-crazy.. due to missing direkt sunlight I guess?
It's a good thing in my eyes.. -

That trim interior one is great.
-
• #12496
Same. There's not. Much in it other than more resolution. There's actually some visible banding in the shadows too, which you don't get on the Noritzu.

Wot?
(to my eye) there is a heap more tonal range in the hassy scan. Brighter colours too.
-
• #12498
I really like the er ... selfie for the colours + blurs.
-
• #12499
Yeah, the colours are the main difference...

I agree about the colours on these, pleasantly saturated.
Just in case no one sees this in the classifieds
