I thought about a few bikes before I bought my Focus, one of them was a Vitus but was given advice not to buy cheap carbon, it looks ok on the outside, but due to the fab process, it might have folds etc on the inside which isn't good for strength... do you really need carbon? I'd be thinking more about groupset, hydro disks etc

Reckon the spec is great for the money (£750).
I'm thinking about getting a cross bike, ideally I'd like to get a Cannondale SuperX, but they're way above my budget, I'd prefer to get a carbon frame but really I'm open to anything, I've been looking at this -

I'd appreciate any other suggestions, and any criticisms of that bike? Eventually I'd like to get into cross racing.
