Off topic but would love some advice. We're in France and rented a car. For some reason I didn't pay for extra insurance and today some fucker reversed into our car making a nice foot long dent on the right hand side.
Interestingly enough, there was a tiny dent there before, so that part of the car is noted as damaged on the report. Though not exactly there, but close.
What's the best way to handle it? Play stupid and just hand it back hoping it'll fall under the previous dent? Or just tell them and hope it'll cost south of €1000 as that's what my debit card hopefully covers. Or tell them and argue the previous note should cover it?
