• My granddaughter is very slight and fearful of learning to ride, i believe primarily because her bicycle is so heavy. Any advice? I live in London

  • We used an Isla bike, good set up, right size for a 6 year old. components scaled down, and not too heavy.

  • Frog and the Raleigh Performance range are other lightweight options. Both well thought out too. Hoy also do some good bikes, but a little chunkier.

  • Thank you so much for the advice .... I was hoping that someone might have something to pass on secondhand. We have an Islabike which her brother has outgrown but it is too big for her still. Frog bikes are £250 new but I shall check out the Raleigh performance and keep looking for secondhand options. Many thanks!
