  • Ha ha. Am I way off here then? Wide rims means more volume means lower psi, no? Rollers is the test for me - too low and they get all squelchy and sticky but 60psi is spot on, even a bit hard. Definitely too much for tarmac. Same with all tyres I've tried on these rims.

    The rims are these btw http://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/arc22-ultrawide-wheelset.htm which I think are rebadged Kinlin xr22 (?)
    Superstar state a 60psi max, are they just pulling that out their arse? seems a weird thing to say for a road rim if it's not necessary.

    Edit: a bit of googling suggests I should be running them higher, so maybe I've just been kidding myself...
