  • Sigma sport have very nicely agreed to replace my corsa g+ because the tread came away from the casing after 1500 or so miles. I wasn't expecting them to, so dead pleased.

I was told by one member of staff who jumped on the email chain with the person who was arranging the return that it was my fault they'd delaminated because I was running them at 55psi on 25mm rims despite the advised '85psi' written on the side of the tyre. I did try to explain that 85psi on 25mm rims with a 25c tyre would be nigh on unrideable, and the rims were only guaranteed to 60psi but he accused me of using 'mismatched components'.

I should be getting a new set in the post though, which is pretty amazing customer service tbf.

  • Perhaps unrideable is an over statement, but on the occasions when I put 85psi in them to seat the tyres/give them a bit of a stretch they were rock solid. I'd not want to ride them on the road, for sure.

I weigh 74kg and at 55-60psi they felt like normal tyres, any higher and they felt like solid rubber. I have Veloflex corsa now at 55psi and they're spot on. I put 60psi in on the rollers and they sit on top of the rollers properly without deforming, something that I've seen happen on normal rims at anything below 90psi, so I don't see why any more than that is needed.
